Getting Creative With What I have
I was really worried and thought the sizing of the boards (refer to behind the scenes images) would not be large enough for the set up granting that I was shooting my friend in his size 12 shoes. I nonetheless just pushed through and worked with what I had: two foam boards, two portable phone ring lights, and my friend’s one desk lamp. The two foam boards actually worked successfully, I just needed to crop it during the post processing phase. Using the phone ring lights ended up becoming a total bust as it projected nearly little to no light for the photoshoot, but luckily my friend’s desk lamp was extremely helpful and it had modes of white, warm, and cool lighting. However I was still worried that the desk lamp light wouldn’t capture the vision I had in mind for the final product, but thanks to small tweaks when post processing and editing the white balance, things worked out beautifully.
The power to make a really good image is all in the hands of yourself and even with that responsibility, you don’t even need to have fancy and high end expensive equipment to achieve the ultimate shot.
